This may be the busiest week of the year for me so far!
And I don’t mean my blogging week (Wednesday to Wednesday), but my actual work week.
I kicked off Monday with an all-day Intermediate Excel training class that I taught to state employees. It was SO fun—well, for me at least—because I normally teach traditional college students who are, well, young and uninterested.
This experience was completely different. I had a room full of 25 VERY interested people! They asked great questions, and we explored some deeper features of Excel.
Then, on Tuesday, I served on a panel about assessments at a small conference at my college. Today, I presented on one of my favorite topics: engaging students online, which went smashingly, if I might add.
Tomorrow, I’m teaching the Advanced Excel course to a different group of state employees, and I literally just finished my presentation materials. It really came down to the wire because I’ve been engaged most of the week.
So, long story short, I’m just popping in to meet my blogging goal and give some fun updates.
First, The Husband has been amazing this week, hence the featured image. I mean, just look at him:

He is hysterically awkward when trying to cook. It’s definitely NOT a natural state for him. Regardless, he took the lead this week and made a batch of my Sunday Sauce so we’d have something easy to fall back on for dinners.
Second, Ry has started his FIRST FULL-TIME JOB! It was his third day today, and I can’t wait to hear how it went.
I cannot stress enough how proud I am of him. He’s had a tough go at it since high school—just lost, like so many of my students—but he’s pulling out of it, and I can see a marked change in his mood, demeanor, and overall outlook on life.
I guess as a mom, I’ll never stop worrying. I get that. But it’s also my job to help him through the rough patches, guiding him along the way, which (I know some of you can probably relate) can be exhausting—physically and emotionally.
*deep breaths* (Brings a tear to my eye just writing about it)
Anyway, the only other news I have is links to two posts on Substack and my goal update. Both below… hope you are well… I’ve got to go.

What a post
Ooops – didn’t mean for that previous post to end so abruptly. Tough to decide which is more exciting – a husband who cooks or VLookUps! Excel is the greatest thing since sliced bread and motherhood!
HA! I agree! It’s so fun!
And your first comment came through in email and I was like.. what? lmao Glad you followed up.
