2025 Goals Journal

Great Week! (w18)

It’s been such a crazy day that I’m writing this while watching Survivor! And it sucks because I have SO much I want to write about.

You know what? I’m going to work backwards through the week—it’ll probably be easier that way.

First, Today. Was. Awesome.

I was so proud of my pull-up progress at the gym this morning that I posted a story about it on IG. Pull-ups have always been a challenge for me. I’ve made progress in the past, but if I don’t work on them consistently, I lose strength fast.

This time, I’m actively training twice a week. One day I do sets of band-assisted chin-ups, and a few days later I do wide-grip negatives—I’ve even progressed to doing half my sets without bands! That’s huge!

The rest of the day was a whirlwind. It’s the last week of classes, Ev had an orthodontist appointment, and I decided to unarchive my old Facebook page. I’m really finding my groove with blogging again, and I’m loving it.

So Much Food!

Looking through my phone from the week, I have so many food photos! It’s ridiculous! I’ve started at least three Substack posts but haven’t had time to edit them yet.

I did manage to post about my Seafood Sunday, though!

That’s Barramundi with Fruit and Avocado Over Rice.

The rest will have to wait until I have a little more time. I will, however, share my sourdough wins this week!

I made sandwich bread…

Which I absolutely LOVED! And bagels!

I’m really starting to get sourdough confident. It’s so friggin’ rewarding too.

The last thing I’ll share in the food department is some photos from this weekend’s dinner party my friends hosted.

I host next month, and my gears are already spinning. I’m thinking of either a Cuban theme OR a Korean BBQ theme. If you have any ideas, let me know!

In Other News…

I painted!

I was inspired by something that happened at yoga this weekend. I started a post about it and plan to share it on Substack soon.

I don’t have a photo, but Ry and I kicked ass in our pickleball league this week! We’re really gelling as a team, and seeing him happy and engaged is so rewarding. I’m really enjoying the time we spend together.

OH!! And—big news—he is graduating from his job training program next week and then starts a full-time job the following week! I’m so proud of him. His progress has been incredible. (It’s been a long, stressful journey since High School graduation)

Okay, I think I’ll end with this news and then update my goal list.

Long story short, I started tracking my body fat percentage, and it’s been a total game changer. I posted all about it on Substack if you are interested.

That’s all I got. It’s almost time for Tribal. I’ve got to go!
