I’m just popping in real fast to share some photos from this year’s beach week and update my goals.
Annually, we meet The Husband’s family in Seaside Park, NY. It’s a longstanding tradition, and this was my 31st year! Unfortunately, Ry couldn’t go with us this year, as he used most of his vacation days for the Iceland trip. So it was a little bittersweet, but we still had a great time.
Here’s Ev and The Husband walking to dinner one night.

I can’t believe that’s Little Bean! He’s nearly as tall as his dad now, and I am beside myself. These boys are so mature now!
We had a great week, but even Ev missed his brother. It was really endearing.
The beach was great this year, although the water was rough. So there were a few days we couldn’t go swimming. Instead, I had a little fun in the sand, making this sea turtle.

We also got lots of arcade time in, rode go karts, and competed in the annual Wacky Golf game, which The Husband won, again this year. :/

Oh! And we played a lot of pool!

I’ve always been a billiards fan, and it was fun seeing how much of a natural Ev was. He enjoys it as much as I do.
We got home last night, so today, The Husband and I decided to celebrate the last day of vacation at our favorite local wine and sandwich shop.

The last three weeks have been a bit of a blur. Fun! But exhausting.
My contract starts back up on Friday, so I’m heading back to work. It’s time to start planning out my classes and finalizing my schedule for the fall semester. I’m looking forward to getting back to a routine.
Here’s the goal update. I’ve failed a few goals, but overall I’m killing it!
Until next week. 🙂
