2025 Goals Journal

End of Year Slump (w49)

I am trying to hold my shit together at the moment and failing miserably.

It’s finals week. Audacious students are grade-grubbing. I’m feverishly reviewing projects while trying to get a January class prepped. And every single day, I seem to have a handful of meetings that could have been handled via email.

There are three weeks left in the year, and I’m ready to call it. I’m already sketching out next year’s goals in my mind because I’m feeling stagnant with this year’s. I like the refresh a new year brings, even though I intellectually know it doesn’t matter.

Regardless, I did manage to paint this week (see above). Tomorrow I’m cooking a new recipe, this weekend I’ll get myself to yoga, and at some point I will get out on the trails for a winter hike. Probably after grades are finally submitted, and I’m a little more relaxed.

Anyway, just popping in to update the goals. I’m not going to reach them all, but I made some awesome progress this year!

I have been so focused on Christmas that I didn’t realize there was only three more weeks to the year 😳. Thank you for sharing weekly and you have inspired me to make some goals for next year using your monthly format. Also been loving your salads on IG.

Wow, Roni, I am so impressed with all you have done this year. I know you might feel blah about what you’ve accomplished because it’s old hat to you- but lemme tell you- I’m at the end of the year and I am super impressed with your ability to set goals, keep up with the mere idea of the goals, and meet them! I hope your year wraps up nicely and you have a fun break with your family.

I have to fellowship but I like the way you did your 2025 goals and weekly accountability….already a little late but better to start now then never 🤪
