I’ve come to talk with you again!
I’m in desperate need of a good, old fashioned brain dumb, and I finally feel ready to do it.
But first! My new blog digs.
If you haven’t been here in a while, you may notice a few changes. I know blogs aren’t what they used to be but, boy, do I miss the “good old days” of writing and connecting. It was always therapeutic for me, and even though I’m not journaling my weight loss daily as I did when I started, I want a blog “home base” so to speak, to share what I’ve been up to, vent when I need to and document my story.
So for the past few weeks, I spent some time updating RoniNoone.com. I imported some of my older travel posts (I mainly wanted my Mother-Sons trips archived and plan on sharing the two I didn’t document as well) and am trying to get access to my Roni’s Weigh archives to import some of my older content that connected with people.
Other than importing some old content, the new blog is stupid simple, and that’s the point. No more trying to jam as much crap as I can in a sidebar or trying to design some fancy header. It’s clean, simple and most importantly, easy to maintain.
You will also notice I turned off comments on both my blogs. I’ve decided they just aren’t worth it. When was the last time you had a meaningful exchange in the comments sections of a blog? If you want to chat with me you know where to find me. I’m on facebook, twitter, IG, and my email has been public forever. I love connecting with people but I don’t need to be managing troll comments and spam any longer. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Seven Months in a Flash!
There is so much so I decided to pull some photos off my phone. You know me, I like to tell stories through photos.
Geesh, there’s so much more I could probably share, but I don’t want to bore you. Now that I have the base blog redesigned I hope to spend more time writing. I’m going to start by getting some older travel photos up that I’ve been wanting to share. Then maybe I’ll start documenting some of my fitness stuff. I have some pretty lofty goals at the gym and it always helps me when I journal my goal progress.
I’m also considering starting a Tech category now that I’m getting back into the geeky stuff but I’m not sure about that yet. If I get inspired to write about WordPress or HTML5 I will, otherwise I may just save it for the classroom.
Okay, now I feel like I’m just blabbering, but I’m so happy to have my little corner of cyberspace back and I’m all sorts of motivated now.
Thanks for reading if you made it this far. I’ll be back soon!
