This past Tuesday was my 42nd Birthday, and all I have to show for it is that damn boot.

I dropped a 25lb plate on it at the gym that morning. At first, I thought it was fine, but a few hours later I couldn’t put any weight on it.

Two days later the bruise set it.

It’s starting to feel better, but it’s going to take time before I can run again which sucks! Especially because this guy has really taken to interval running and now I can’t go with him. 🙁

Eeeek! It’s killing me when he goes out. I’ve been waiting over ten years for this, and now I’m broken. Grrrr. It sucks!

Thankfully, however, I was able to do some dancing at a wedding we went to last night.

We had an absolute blast.

In other news…

  • I’m in a bit of limbo at work. I may have an opportunity to teach again, and I’m extremely interested, but there are so many things to consider. I’m hoping to have some closure in the next couple of weeks. It’s been super stressful.
  • This week The Husband and I are heading to Jamaica for our long weekend away. I can’t wait!
  • And finally, the big news… I’ve relaunched GreenLiteBites! Click here to check it out!

  1. Sorry to hear about your foot.
Thank you for taking the time to bring back your recipes.
This time I’m going to write down the ones I love.
This week I’ll be making the pumpkin, pasta, sausage, and spinach one–well if I get to the store.
One last thing—-I hope you find the work that makes you happy.
I just retired after 43 years of teaching and I’m so thankful I was able to do it.

  2. I broke my first bones this year (two fingers, slipping on the ice). I am glad i waited till i was 41 to do this. I wouldn’t have been patient enough if i was younger.
