Below is a list of web projects I have developed or been involved with since my graduate studies at Bloomsburg University. These projects show a range of tools I have used including Access, ASP, Cold Fusion, HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, Flash, Authorware, Dreamweaver and JavaScript. IMMT Web Site

Client:The Internet and Multimedia Department of the Community College of Baltimore County

Role: Web Designer/Developer

Tools Used: XHTML, CSS

Description: While the department is in transition we needed a stable web presence to inform students of our program offerings. This site is planned for a large redesign in the coming year. In the mean time I quickly streamlined the project by creating a simple CSS layout and organization that is easily updatable and allows for simple additions.

PAR Project

Client: Inlexo

Role: Web and Database Designer/Developer

Tools Used: Access, ASP, XHTML, CSS, Dreamweaver

Description: This project was a simple redesign. The PAR Project site needed a face lift in addition to some new features. I redesigned the interface, re-coded the site using CSS and XHTML and added a small password protected area using ASP and Access. This site is ongoing and additional features may be added shortly.

CCBC Student Server Site

Role: Web Designer/Developer

Tools Used: XHTML, CSS, PHP, Dreamweaver

Description: Like most schools, CCBC has a student server that hosts the students and faculty web pages. This site is is the home page of that server. It acts as an informative site for student activities and tutorials.

This site uses a combination of php includes and Dreamweaver templates for easy maintenance

National History Society of Maryland (NHSM) Web Site

Client: NHSM

Role: Web and Database Developer

Tools Used: Access, ASP, XHTML, CSS, Dreamweaver

Description: I worked with a small team to re-develop the NHSM web site. The new site is a database application allowing members to login and post related programs to a searchable Access database. I developed the templates, css and all the database communication for the site.

Faculty/Class Web Site

Client: Myself and My Students

Role: Web Designer & Web Developer

Tools Used: XHTML, CSS, Javascript, WebCT

Description: Considering I currently instruct students at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) in the area of Multimedia, Web and Computer Graphics I thought it only be proper to utilize the web as an instructional tool. The site is used as a living example to my web students as well as being a resource for all my classes. Included on the site are things such as prior student work, multimedia examples and a calendar of events for each class I instruct.

Joppatowne Baseball/Softball League Web Site

Client: Joppatowne Baseball/Softball League

Role: Web Designer/Developer

Tools Used: HTML, ASP, Access, Javascript, CSS, Dreamweaver

Description: The baseball League was in need of a web presence to communicate important information to players, parents and coaches. The site consists of individual information for softball and baseball while sharing relevant information such as important dates and rain delay information.

The School of Applied and Information Technology (SAIT) Web Site

Client: SAIT

Role: Web Designer/Developer

Tools Used: HTML, Javascript, CSS

Description: SAIT was in need of a web presence separate from the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC). This site was developed with a focus on the school while still being embedded under the CCBC web site umbrella. The site was used to emphasize the schools programs of study while acting as a gateway to information already in existence on the CCBC web site. The challenge of this project was to develop the site in a way that would allow it to be integrated into CCBC's customized Content Management System.

Crohn's Disease Study Screener

Client: Pharmaceutical Research Plus, Inc.

Role: Web Developer

Tools Used: HTML, ASP, Access, CSS

Description: Pharmaceutical Research Plus, Inc. was in need of an online screening application. This site was developed to allow users the ability to fill out an online questionnaire. The questionnaire would customize itself based on the users response to certain questions. Upon completion of the study the user responses were stored in an Access database. The information stored in this database was then accessible online through a password protected entrance allowing administrators the ability to view the results of the screener and contact those who qualified for the study.

Accelera Company Web Site

Client: Accelera

Role: Web Developer / Programmer

Tools Used: HTML, Javascript, ASP, Flash 5.0, CSS

Description: This project was completed while I was an employee of the Accelera Corporation. Accelera needed a new site to reflect changes within the company. The site was developed using ASP, Flash and JavaScript. The challenge of the project was to develop an easily updateable site without the use of a database. To accomplish this a system of arrays and text files were used. You can visit the current site at

Research Compliance Training

Client: The Johns Hopkins University

Role: Web Developer / Programmer

Tools Used: SQL Server 7.0, ColdFusion 4.5, HTML, JavaScript

Description: The client requested an online presence to provide courses concerning Research Compliance Training. Users, mostly Johns Hopkins employees, have the ability to enroll in several of these courses and track their progress. The site also includes an administrative feature, which allows certain personnel to view student accounts and create a variety of reports.

Continuing Medical Education

Client: The Johns Hopkins University

Role: Web Developer / Programmer

Tools Used: SQL Server 7.0, ColdFusion 4.5, HTML, JavaScript, CSS

Description: This site provided medical professionals the ability to earn continuing medical education credits (cme's) online. The users were able to enroll in multiple courses, take examinations and participate in surveys. This site also included an administrative feature, which allowed the client to view course statistics including survey results and the number of certificates granted per course.

Descartes Cove Web Site

Client: The Johns Hopkins University

Role: Web Developer

Tools Used: HTML, JavaScript, Adobe Photoshop, Authorware 4.0

Description: Descartes Cove is a CD-ROM program instructing students in math related principals. An informative site was needed to advertise the product online. The site included information to educators as well as parents and potential students. A demonstration of the program was also made available in multiple formats to accommodate slower connections.

PART Resources

Client: Ben Franklin Technology Partners

Role: Web and Database Developer

Tools Used: SQL Server 7.0, ColdFusion 4.0, HTML

Description: This was a graduate assistantship project. The project team consisted of three students, responsible for designing and developing a searchable database of resources within institutes of higher education of Pennsylvania. Liaisons from individual schools can add, update and delete resource records. The information in the database is then searchable by the general public. My responsibilities for this project included designing and programming the database, securing the database and creating the data entry pages.
