Below is a list of multimedia projects I have developed or been involved with since my graduate studies at Bloomsburg University. These projects show a range of tools I have used including Access, ASP, Cold Fusion, HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, Flash, Authorware, Dreamweaver and JavaScript. Online Educational Games

Client: KC Distance Learning

Role: Flash Programmer

Tools Used: Flash MX

Description: KC Distance Learning is one of the leading providers of distance learning programs for secondary school children. They were in need of educational games developed in Flash covering subjects such as Chemistry, Biology, and Earth Science. These games are delivered online to home schooled children nationally.

Good Manufacturing Practices

Client: LearnWare

Role: Multimedia Programmer

Tools Used: Actionscript, Flash 5.0, XML, JSP, HTML, Javascript

Description: This project was developed as an off the shelf for pharmaceutical manufacturing plants. Users could take any of the courses ten units in addition to choosing their preferences including language (English / Spanish) and audio on/off. All content for the units were stored in XML files and dynamically parsed utilizing Macromedia's Flash 5.0. The back-end consisted of multiple SQL server databases and the code is organized using a three-tier system. This project is no longer available online.

Blood Spill Cleanup

Client: River Woods Retirement Community

Role: Project Manager/Developer

Tools Used: Authorware 4.0, Adobe Photoshop 5.01, Sound Forge 4.0

Description: This project was completed for an Advanced Instructional Design Class at Bloomsburg University. There was a team of four students, who worked directly with the staff at River Woods. The lesson covered OSHA standards on Blood Spill cleanup. It was catered to the River Woods facility, including interactive maps to instruct on the location of materials within the nursing home. My responsibilities included, communicating with the client and programming of the project. I also aided in the creation of graphics, layout of screens, designing of the instruction and voice-over's.

Department of Instructional Technology (DIT) Scheduling Database

Role: Designer / Developer

Tools Used: Microsoft Access 97, Photoshop 5.0

Description: This project was a graduate assistantship assignment. The Department requested a scheduling system to keep track of students, classes and instructors up to three semesters in advance. The department head enters the available classes for the future semesters and faculty members enter students, and scheduled them in those classes. I was the sole designer and developer for this project. I worked with the head of the department to identify the requirements of the system and tested the program utilizing the department faculty members.
