I agree! I get annoyed when the information is really great but then there’s a link to some site that has absolutely nothing to do with the information on the graphic…so while I’d be ok posting the graphic, I won’t because they’re just trying to get free page views!

Oh yeah. And isn’t always porn, too, that they want you to promote? I got one last week from someone saying she was a freelance copywriter and would put stuff on my site for free…all she wanted was a few links. AAAAARGH!

@LauraJane100 I only do them for special circumstances. My blogs are very personal in nature, they are places for me to self express. Plus once you open the flood gates of guest posts everyone and their mother wants to contribute and that’s a lot to manage. It’s just not the direction I want to take blogs in right now.

Great response! Direct and to the point – that ought to save you some trouble. I have two tiny blogs and already get weird requests – I can’t imagine all the requests you get with your big blogs. Just curious why you don’t post guest posts? I loved the one you had a while back from Danica’s Daily on Roni’s Weigh.
